I love partner and blues dancing.
And I love introducing people to the wonderful experiences you can have dancing.
So I thought, “What better way to spread the word than social media?” So I started this blog to raise awareness about blues and partner dancing, particularly among my generation (I’m 23). But I don’t want to just spread the word; I also want to make it as easy as possible for you to actually get started!
Therefore, this blog will have two parts: sharing and enabling.
I’ll be sharing what it’s like to bring blues and partner dancing into your life. I LOVE bringing people into the wonderful world of partner and blues dancing. I’ll do this by talking about why blues dancing is such a blast and sharing some personal experiences I’ve had through dancing in the Boston area. I’ll also be asking you for YOUR experiences, and sharing those with my readers.
Secondly, I’ll be enabling your dancing experience by telling you how to find blues dancing in your area.
There are plenty of area clubs where you can go dancing. If you’re anything like me, you’ve found the dance scene in clubs kind’ve…well, meh. Clubs aren’t truly about dancing; they’re about drinking and/or finding someone to take home with you. Right? And if that’s what you’re looking for, that’s great, but if you’re really looking to dance…not so much.
So if you’re looking for a great way to have some fun, meet some new people, and maybe learn a thing or two, go check out some blues dancing! The folks at the dance venues I’m going to recommend are always happy to welcome newcomers and teach them the basics.
If you have any thoughts, questions, or experiences of your own you’d like to share, feel free to post a comment! I’d love to hear what you have to say!
